Very tasetful! I like your new project. You have raised the bar for shape note websites. Well Done my friend!

Nice Site! Well written...descriptive enough that I can practically hear the voices echoing throught the hills and smell the leaves of autumn at the Natural Tunnel Singing....
I'll add this as a link on our site(don't forget to send your link to fasola.org - it'll help folks find you)

Hmmm. Mike, Now I'm seeing that the avatar of other jimdo users is only in the pro version, which I am not using. Who knows?
Anyhow, I also want to say that your site inspired me as far as the design and tone.
Folks, take a look at Mike's page. They have a good thing going on down there. Building community where so much was lost from the hurricane.
Copy and paste address.

What a great site. How I wish I were in the mountains of Tennessee right now (but for the heat and humidity). And a special shout-out of thanks for the Disclaimers page. I will be smiling for the
rest of the day.
We're dropping into the low 50's tonight and sunset was with a relative humidity of 25%. It can get a little sticky, but nothing like Atlanta, or Columbia, SC, or Cairo, IL for that matter. Lord have
mercy!
Glad you like the "Disclaimer." It is actually the least viewed page on the site. Maybe I should change the name....

Don,
Nice job on this website...was good to see and sing with ya'll Saturday...see you at camp!?
I can't thank you enough for sharing the beauty & melodies of the shapes, at Sycamore Shoals. In less than 6 months, you have shared your very contagious passion & love for singing with so
many folks from our region. And in the process, ignited a memory for many - and a new, or renewed, interest for others.
Thank you for all you do - Looking forward to the next singing!
When we moved the singing to Sycamore Shoals, it really felt like coming home, Jennifer. You and all the staff and volunteers are so hospitable and helpful to us.
I am gratified that the tradition has been welcomed and embraced by the people. It IS ours and we do well to preserve, nurture and most of all, enjoy it.

Don, I'm SO impressed! You've done a truly beautiful job creating this site. Just as you have done in inspiring us to gather with you and Juliannne to sing. I, too, loved the disclaimer page. I did
try to link thru for photos on the "Where We Go" page and couldn't find any working link... is that because I don't have the latest Flash Player in my Linux? Suspect it's my own computer ignorance.
I'll try to open in Windows and check it out.
Great time singing Sunday. Thanks again. You have brought us many opportunities to make a "joyful noise!"
In the interest of full disclosure and to give credit where it is due, you were the one who suggested that we contact Sycamore Shoals to see if they wanted to become involved with our singing
activities. It is clear that was a brilliant suggestion as our continuing growth proves.
Yes. The photo slide shows do require Flash. I'll add a note next time I update.

Don, it's great that you have uploaded so many videos to YouTube. Now that I'm back in the land of the truly weird (Berkeley, CA) and regathering my wits, I'll spend some more time here... when I'm
not catching up on a boatload of work! Thanks for making us so visible!
Diane, it was great to have you join us at Camp DoReMi. The internet is such a great tool to connect people with this fine tradition. But, it cannot duplicate the experience of being there.
And "there" can be anywhere when people of like mind join together in harmony.

Had a Great time singing at the Old Fields yesterday. Thanks Don for allowing me to lead the group. The sound in the center of the square is amazing. Looking forward to future gatherings.
Good for you, Chad. You're going to be on my rotation of leaders to call now. And wait until you lead at a big singing. When you go to one, you'll see that the front row singers, especially the
tenors, are beating time with you.
So if we get confused, we can look to them to get back on the beat. Not that YOU got confused, but it does happen. It's happened to me.
And a good way to prepare and practice is to always beat time when singing, whether with a group or alone, maybe singing with one of the videos on my YouTube page!
It's great to touch base again with Shape note! I can see we are both making inroads into spreading American folk music! Check out our website too, and hope some of your folks can come to our
regional sing in Charlotte in February! We will have Hugh McGraw doing a singing school! Best wishes to you all!
Sounds good, Catherine...and that website address is........?????

I haven't visited in a few months and enjoyed all of the pictures in the "Where We Go" section. It made me realize I missed too many sings in 2008. Resolved to sing more in 2009.
I am listing to a Camp Doremi CD and viewing your camp slideshow, trying to keep the experience alive. What a gathering! I'm ready to sign up for next year.
I participated in the singing at Sycamore Shoals on February 21,2010. Mostly though, I sat speechless at the amazing sounds I was hearing and the sights I was seeing. I marvelled at the words and
markings from the old hymnal I held. Everyone was so friendly! Thank you for preserving this treasured heritage! I will definitely be bsck for more.
Hi everybody. Thanks for your site, it's very interesting and is worth visiting.
